About this collection and its sources
This collection contains original historical pieces dated through 1930, including 1930 itself. Later photographs and editions, modern recreations and items without a supported date are not shown. Original source records remain preserved. Proven repeated source URLs, identical committed museum files and a verified duplicate four-page facsimile share catalogue entries; chapter references and original IDs are retained. Different book editions and uncertain image matches remain separate.
Pending image records show catalogue details and links to their holding institution. Their image files are not newly displayed here. Existing museum pictures keep their source credits and uncertainty notes. Historical captions reflect their original context; catalogue inclusion is not an endorsement.
Books normally open in the existing Na Volavola reading room so your saved shelf and bookmarks remain on the same site. Where an archive item bundles different editions, a labelled link opens the verified source scan. Internet Archive, Te Papa and Wikimedia continue to host their files. The editable catalogue remains in Sydney; this searchable index uses global cached delivery.
